Question by Is that your final answer?: My maternity insurance is giving me the run around?
I have aflac for my insurance since August of this year. I told the rep. that I am pregnant and she told me that if I got pregnant in August, that Aflac wouldnt be able to cover me bc pregnancy is considered a disability and there is a 30 day waiting period. I think I got pregnant on the last of August so I dont know what to do. I need my maternity leave and my friend told me that there is an insurance that covers even when your pregnant. What do you suggest?

Say you got pregnant on the first day of September. The dates aren't 100% accurate and it won't affect your due date. Due dates are estimated- you can give birth at any point between 38 and 42 weeks, so no one will ever know.

Even if your ultrasound shows a different date, they won't change what you say is the first day of your last menstrual period.
