Question by Carlos A: My girlfriend is pregnant and is looking for good maternity insurance. Any advice on a good one?
She has a group plan, but missed the open enrollment date, and it won't take effect until May. I work for a construction company that doesn't offer insurance so that is not an option. She makes too much money for Medicaid, but between us we don't make enough to cover the expenses of being pregnant. We have talked to the Dr. and the hospital to get the expenses lowered, but are still worried about paying the costs.
