How much should it cost for an attorney on a felony charge?

Question by brianabrieve: How much should it cost for an attorney on a felony charge?
My husband has been charged with a Class D Felony for voyeurism. I want to know if the cost this attorney gave us is fair.
I won't divorce him for this, he is seeking professional help as he has an emotional disorder- the attorney we are talking to says that this is not a sex crime in our state, and isn't being treated as one.
This attorney gave us a 7000 flat fee. Sounds like it is a fair one, so we will take it- he came highly recommended from my private attorney.

Attorney's fees vary by experience, anticipated workload, whether the attorney is an individual or member of a firm, and where you live. There is no standard set of fees.
